Scope: Design Thinking & Development, Fundraising & Campaign Support

Project Details

Design Process:
Throughout the year, Native Fish Society supports several conservation campaigns. With their annual fundraiser approaching, they were looking for a unique way to help people identify and remember the campaigns, a way to give each one their own little brand identity. I worked with the organization to determine what made each campaign special and then proposed ideas for visually translating the essence into a set of custom icons that represent the fish, rivers and landscapes unique to each of the campaigns. In total, I concepted and designed seven icons based on the client’s existing event brand creative for the annual Homewaters fundraising event.

Impact:
The fundraiser raised $261,045, exceeding the organization’s goal of $260,000. The fundraising auction had 312 online and in-person bidders.

How this helps the planet:
Supporting native fish populations and free-flowing rivers can restore and strengthen ecosystems which creates a healthier and more abundant future for wildlife and humans.

Final set of icons for Deschutes, Molalla, North Umpqua, Shasta, Rogue and Willamette Rivers and Oregon Coastal Chinook. The icons were used on presentations and marketing materials for the fundraiser.

“We’ve been putting together a campaign highlighting our conservation campaign efforts with Margo for the past many years. Every year our community and its support for our work has grown.”
