About Margo Stoney

Twenty years ago when I started my graphic design journey, I knew I wanted to build my career around my passions for design, the outdoors and nature. My clients love working with me because we share a desire to respect and conserve land, wildlife, water, recreational opportunities and to nurture healthy communities. Using beautiful design, we work together and collaborate to solve problems and amplify the marketing efforts it takes to ignite action and change.

I’ve found my niche in helping my clients tell unique, impactful stories by creating effective visuals like illustrations, infographics, custom map drawings, annual reports and fundraising events or campaigns. I also love helping small businesses and nonprofits with logo design and branding.

For inspiration, I spend much of my free time outside snowboarding, hiking, exploring rivers & forests, looking at birds or simply soaking up the fresh air and sunshine (often with a sketchbook in hand). I currently live in Missoula, Montana with my husband, Isaac, and dog, Rico, but you’ll often find me on the road or exploring a foreign land whenever possible.

My dedication to the planet goes beyond my design work. I’m a member of The Conservation Alliance, Leave No Trace and The Montana Nonprofit Association. I donate at least 1% of my annual sales to environmental nonprofits like the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. I’m on the board of directors of the Five Valleys Audubon Society and volunteer in my community 40+ hours each year.
